STOP COUMADIN/WARFARIN and PLAVIX 5 days in advance
STOP ELIQUIS and XARELTO 2 days in advance
STOP OZEMPIC/WEGOVY/MOUNJARO/ZEPBOUND 7 days in advance
DO TAKE blood pressure / heart/ breathing / seizure / Parkinson’s meds the morning of your test with a small sip of water between 6 and 7am. ALL OTHERS CAN WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE PROCEDURE.
DIABETICS: INSULIN – take ½ your usual insulin the morning of your procedure. DIABETIC PILLS – take them after your procedure.
YOU ARE TO HAVE NOTHING BY MOUTH TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE EXCEPT WHAT IS IN THESE ORDERS.
